Remember the little box I told you about yesterday? Well, it wasn’t too long before Nala and I got to learn what was inside… Wanna see?

While mommy and Taylor were out, they saw turtles!
But turtles weren’t in the box.
And this cute little mousy fella.
But he wasn’t in the box either.
Then mommy and Taylor came home and Nala and I saw the little white box. We weren’t allowed to see what was in it, until mommy finished putting together this really colorful thing called a cage. I’ve never seen anything like it before.

When mommy was finished, she put the cage on
the floor. She said we weren’t allowed to touch it.
I found the cage really interesting…
So interesting, that mommy had to hold me back at first.
Then I saw something moving inside…
Oh my goshies! There’s something alive in there!
Taylor said his name was BUBBA.
He’s her first ‘pocket pet,’ whatever that is.
I think Bubba likes me.
Nala tried to see Bubba, but I don’t think she saw him.
Nala: “Stop kidding with me — there’s nothing in there!”
There’s Bubba!
Nala: “Hey, there’s something moving in there!”
Nala: “What IS that?”
I found myself staring at Bubba the entire time.
I really wanted to play with him.
I watched every move he made…
Intently…
I watched him explore his new home.
I watched as he climbed all over.
I never lost interest.
I couldn’t stop watching him!
Later when mommy put Bubba up on the
table, Nala got a good look at him.
Did you get a good look at Bubba’s first home? It didn’t even last one day — Taylor and mommy decided to return that first cage and buy a smaller one. Since Bubba is a Dwarf hamster, also called a Djungarian hamster, he was way too small to climb up in the tube to the top tower and spin on the wheel on the first cage.
The following photos are of his second cage.

I can see Bubba really well in his new home.
Taylor removed one side so Bubba could come out.
This cage had more tubes for him to climb in, and the
tube to the tower was smaller so he could climb up.
Isn’t Bubba a furry cutie?
He’s always moving, so it’s hard to get a good pic.
Bubba’s like a tiny, round, little ball of fur.
I love Bubba. I just wish I could play with him.
And with those last words, you’ll have to come back in two days, on Thursday, to see what happened to Bubba on his second day here. All I’m gonna say, is that I just wanted to play with him. *sigh*

haha great ! I like this blog ๐
Bubba is cuuuuuuuute! Mama wants to snuggle him. When she was your Taylor’s age (or thereabouts) she had a gerbil named Ratsun. He like fresh apple slices, sesame crackers and Susan Sarandon movies. The Mama remembers him very fondly. I’m sure your Taylor will make many memories with little Bubba.
Bubba is adorable! You seem to love him very much!
We felt the same way when Michael got Shadow, his gerbil. But we STILL can’t play with him and it has been ages since he moved in. Dwarf Hamsters look cool.
Bubba is just the cutest little ball of fur. He looks like he really likes his new smaller home.
We just asked our mom if we could get a Bubba. She said no cause we might forget that he isn’t a mouse. Wonder what she meant by that?

Bubba is a cutie. Looks like you and Nala are looking at Bubba like he was chicken with fur.
looks more like he would be a tasty little treat…..
I’m pretty sure I’d like to ‘play’ with Bubba too!

Yeah! I would like my own little pet like that!
Lovies, Miss Mindy
Too cute! But I’ve been told that Hamsters are not to be confused with “ham” so it’s mouths off. He looks like a lot of fun to watch!!
OH NO!!!! Is this gonna be on an episode of Murder She Wrote? ๐
We used to always have small rodents – hamsters, degus, mice, etc. I kind of miss them! Enjoy your new friend!

Oh my gosh, I hope Bubba is okay! Oh Bailey, you looked so intently at him. I can tell you love him very much. You look so cute and excited.
WOW BUBBA looks really FUN. Does he Smell Good??? THIS is very much exciting. I like his home.
Bubba is cute, but not as cute as you. I bet you will have a lot of fun watching him from here on in.
Doggy kisses,
Tanner
Oh, Bailey….We are a little nervous to come back on Thursday to see how the play date went. Surely he had one of those little balls to get inside of before you were allowed to play with him. He is furry cute, but we do notice a little tongue and chop licking going on in a few photos. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
Ohhh Bubba, what a cutie!! I’m nervous to find out what happened to him though…eeeeek! Hope you were gentle with him Bailey ๐
Awwe Bailey! Bubba looks pretty cute. I’m sure you would love to play with him! LOL! He’s got a pretty sweet setup!
Bubba is cute. But I will admitt I am a little afraid to come back to see what happened.
Blessings,
