Exactly 2 weeks ago, the floor tile installation man came back to our house, and removed grout from between many of the floor tiles. Nala and I had to stay behind the hallway gate, and at times even had to stay inside Taylor’s room with the door closed.
When the floor guy comes, we go behind the gate.
This was the 4th time the floor guy came to fix
some of the grout. The bad grout was marked by the blue tape.
And there was A LOT of blue tape…
After he removed the bad grout, he put down new grout.
The floor was covered with grout, even after washing it twice.
Mommy said Nala and I couldn’t walk on it until it was clean…
she didn’t want me licking it. Heh.
Daddy brought out the boards from the garage again,
’cause we couldn’t walk on the floor for a few days.
Mommy brought my pillow over near her, so I could lay on it.
Nala and I hope this is the LAST time we have to stay
behind the gate because of this floor! When I originally
called the floor job “The Big Thing,” I didn’t realize
how big a project this would turn out to be!
The floor guy is coming back this Thursday to seal the grout on the entire floor, even where there wasn’t a problem. Mommy says that they are not charging her, ’cause of all the trouble she’s been through already. She says that it’s a $500 freebie! Nala and I are gonna have to stay in the bedroom for that, ’cause it’ll take at least an hour for the sealer to dry.
We can’t wait for this all to be over already…

That stinks for you! I hate those house projects when strangers have to come in. Our house is just fine the way it is. Our Peeps are always trying to ruin a good thing. Sheeeeeeesh. I hope your torture is over soon.

Wow, what a BIG ordeal it has been! Let’s hope this time they have fixed the problem for good.

I completely sympathise with you during the Tile/Grout Saga! We had a bathroom and shower room revamped last year and the chap doing the tiling was a complete and utter nightmare…it took him 4 months, YES 4 MONTHS to do the tiling during which both rooms had to have the flooring redone!..grrr. SO HOPE all is sorted out at your home.
