I recently received a couple of gifts from the Kong Company… Wanna see?
Look below for the Good Stuff vs. the Not-So-Good Stuff…
Nala and I received a box from the Kong Company recently. In it, were two of their newest toys — a Large Squeeze Double Ball toy, and a Large Ring with a Handle. I couldn’t wait to play with them!
Large Squeeze Double Balls (purple) & Large Ring with Handle (green)

These are the two awesome toys we received.
Nala ‘thought’ she would try the green toy,
but she didn’t know I had my eye on it first.
I wanted to be fair, so I played with the purple one first.
The two balls on each end SQUEAK! It was FUN! Teehee! π
Nala really isn’t into rubber or rope toys.
Mommy tried, but she just sat there and wondered
what the big fuss was about. How silly!
If Nala wasn’t gonna play with the green toy,
there was no sense in it just sitting there…
Oh what FUN I had with it!
I love swinging it around. My hu-family wonders
how I don’t hurt myself when I swing it over my back.
I had a lot of fun with this toy.
I especially loved chewing on the rope!
That’s how you play with it, right?
I don’t need anyone tugging the other end
in order to enjoy THIS toy. Haha
I was able to entertain myself with nooo problem!
The rope is the best part!
Oh Kong toy, I think you’re my new favorite.
And the green ring squeaks! BONUS!
How’d they know us doggies love squeaky toys?
So how did these two toys do? Well, the purple toy
was fun, until I almost tore the rope apart.
Then mommy felt she needed to watch me
ALL the time when I played with it. Geeeezzz!
I chewed the rope on the green toy, too.
But I still LOVE playing with it!
The Good Stuff:
- Rope & squeezable rubber… can’t go wrong with either! But both together? Amazzzing!
- The two balls on the purple toy squeak, as well as the green ring on the other. Squeaking ROCKS!
- The green toy has a rubber handle that isn’t as soft like the ring, and that’s supposed to be for our humans to play tug ‘o war with us. But I’d rather drag, carry, and swing the toy on my own!
- The purple toy has two rubber balls on each end that squeak. It looks like it would be great for two doggies to tug on either end at the same time, but unless Nala suddenly decides to like rubber toys, I’m never gonna experience that. π
- Each toy is made of durable and non-toxic materials. They’re SAFE for doggies!
- This is important: The directions say that this is NOT A CHEW TOY, but BAH! I like chewing on it anyway.
- Some more important stuff I gotta tell you: Your humans are supposed to supervise you when you play with these toys. They’re even supposed to take it away from you if they become damaged. Oh the horror!
The Not-So-Good Stuff:
- My mommy insisted I let you know that the rope does slide back and forth between the center rubber piece on each toy. She’s a worry wart and was worried that I might possibly get my head stuck in the rope after I had pulled one side out more than the other. Come on, mommy. Do you actually think I would stick my head through it?
- FYI: I’m not sure how long the squeaky sound will last, but I know from experience that I usually kill most squeakers pretty quickly, especially in rubber toys. But since I’ve been more fascinated with the rope part of this toy, I wasn’t able to give my opinion on just how long the squeakers will last.
My conclusion?
I really LOVE these toys from Kong, but wish that there was such a rope that even I couldn’t chew through! I wonder what’s gonna happen once I do chew through the rope? My mommy will probably take the squeaky ring off the rope and let me play with that alone. Hey, that’ll be like a new toy then. And if I chew through the purple rope, she could just take the two balls off and let me play with those. Ah, these toys will have a second life! π

I received the toys in this review FREE from the Kong Company (thank you!), in exchange for my honest review. My puppy opinions are my own (yeah, I know I’m no longer a puppy, but I like how it sounds).

O hai! I has a Kong toy. Mom puts peanut butter in the middle, so I don’t get scared when she goes out.
Thanks for the great review

Yay, I’m glad you liked your Kong toys!
Elka got a dumbbell instead of a ring, and chewed through the rope pretty quickly. The good news is, she’ll play with the dumbbell on her own! And it hasn’t stopped squeaking yet!
The double ball one, she’s played with less, but hasn’t figured out how to get the angle and chew through that rope yet. Even though tug is one of her favorite things, she doesn’t much want to tug with it, just make the balls squeak.
I don’t love tugging on the Kong toys, even though I LOVE tugging too. But I just LOVE swinging them around and having someone chase me while I’m holding it. π
Yea I go for the rope part first. But that is how it is done, right.
Blessings,
Goose
That’s a very good review Bailey, neither one of my dogs are big on these types of toys either. They prefer the cloth squeaky ones that they can tear apart!
The ropes would be the first to go in our house. These would definitely be toys we would play with them and then remove afterwards…

Wow Bailey, I just got tired watching you and Nala playing so much with your new Kong toys. I think I need to go and Peel for awhile.
Those look really cool and we’re happy to hear you give them such good reviews. We love Kong and have quite a few of their products too. Mostly the kind that involves putting treats inside. For us, it’s all about the food! Mommy bought me a new Kong foodie type toy the other day butt I can’t get the yummy outta it. I get frustrated and then give up!
Hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Lily Belle
Always interested in new Kong toys because Rudy loves Kong. The ropes concern me, though, because I’m certain he’d chew through them pronto π
