Recently, mommy took Nala to the doctor, ’cause she had to renew her license tag, and mommy wanted to ask the doctor about her skin.
Nala’s fur has been falling out quite a bit lately. Know how I know? First thing is, the mean vacuum thingie comes out every couple of days. I think mommy vacuums every couple of days, ’cause she doesn’t like when I pick up a random piece of Nala’s fur and ummm… eat it. Heh, yep, I eat it! Am I proud of that?
Heck, yeah! But mommy isn’t, so I usually end up grabbing a piece of fur and running. Teehee!
Nala got to ride in the car without me. ๐
Nala was a little nervous at the doctor’s office,
but she wasn’t crazy nervous as she usually is.
The doctor said that Nala’s skin looked OK, just
that it looked a little dry. He suggested that
mommy try and brush out all the loose fur, then
giving her a bath with a moisturizing shampoo.
Nala couldn’t wait to get back home. Know why?

Glad it is just a bit of dryness, Nala! This is the start of coat blowing here so momma is brushing us extra LOTS! And yep, Bailey, I bet she was VERY anxious to get home to her sis!
Glad Nala is okay! Mom gives us a fish oil pill everyday. It seems to help with Ash’s dry skin!

Well it’s spring! Of course her hair is falling out! You can get an undercoat rake at WalMart in the pet section for five bucks. It will be your new best friend. Just make sure you brush Nala outside. It will happen again in October.
Nala… you tell your mom that you do NOT want a baff… BAFFS dry out our furs and stuffs. What you NEED is to go find a nice Road Kill and Roll in it… THAT will give your furs and skin LOTS of NICE Moisture.
With all of Reilly’s allergies one thing we found that really helped his hair loss was fish oil for his dry skin and brewers yeast powder added to his food – it has helped his fur grow back.
You eat fur? I have never heard of that. But I am glad that Nala is OK.

Aw, I hope Nala is feeling better! We love this oatmeal shampoo we use here and we get some conditioner too.
