Soooo, last week was Halloween. I never got around to sharing my photos, so better late than never!
But first…
Nala is gonna be 15 soon. For a girl her age, she’s doing pretty well. She has the usual arthritis issues, and has some trouble getting up after sitting for a while, but she has no other health issues that we know of, so that’s good. But… she has been having trouble jumping up on the bench by our window. Thanks to our friends over at The Doxie Life of Lily, Muffin and their Humans, because they made their own ramp, mommy was able to get daddy to make some sort of ramp for Nala. Stay tuned for a future post on Nala’s ramp.
Now for me. I just saw my doctor… had to get my yearly license renewed and my mommy thought it was time I had something checked out by the doctor. I have some good news and eh, some not so good news (it’s not terrible, so no worries). Also, I’ve been trying to lose weight, ’cause the extra weight is really bad for my hip dysplasia. Stay tuned for a future post to find out the details.
Now for Halloween…
My mommy’s friend from California sent us a
whole package of healthy snacks, Fruitables…
from Vetscience. They’re 100% natural and contain
organic stuffs. I especially love the apple bacon flavor. π
She also sent us TOYS! And would you believe…
they’re DISNEY toys! Are you noticing a theme here?
I thought for sure Nala would love Minnie.
Then she started sniffing Mickey.

I had to step in.
Mickey was mine.
Nala settled for Minnie. She hasn’t held a
toy in ages. We were all so happy to see her
play for a little bit… she IS getting up there
in age. She’ll be 15 years old in two weeks!

Please keep my hu-grandma in your thoughts and prayers…
Mommy’s mommy got an update about her cancer recently (stage 4 metastatic melanoma). Mommy said it could be worse, but isn’t happy about the results. The doctor said that there was no change from months ago (so much for the wonder drug she was taking), and that there’s now fluid around her right lung. She saw another doctor a couple of days ago, and my hu-grandma decided to not take anymore medicine for now (they make her feel sick and it wasn’t really doing much anyway). I guess they’re just gonna watch things for now. The good news is, that her good kidney is still doing OK… but they’re gonna work on getting it better for now, then reevaluate her cancer soon after that. Mommy is really sad and is finding it hard to concentrate on stuff. Please continue to say prayers for my hu-grandma. <3

I heard from many of you that my feed has not been showing up in your readers for quite some time. I am so sorry! Feedburner said my RSS Feed got too big, and it stopped sending it out. :/ So I deleted it and it’s now located here. The problem I have, is that everyone who had previously subscribed, is no longer subscribed. π I have your emails, and plan on sending out one general message asking everyone to change the URL of the feed so you could continue receiving it in your reader. You can always visit my page and click on the RSS link in the sidebar. I hope this will solve the problem, so you can be notified of new posts. Please do let me know if this solves the problem! π

Love both halloween costumes! A ramp is a very good idea even if Nala is in good health.You don’t want her jumping or tumbling down and really doing damage to herself. We all use the ramp that our daddy built and love that you can do zoomies right up to the top! We cannot wait to celebrate your sister’s special day!

Monty and Harlow
We are so excited to hear that Nala will be getting a ramp soon. That is totally pawsome! We love ours and use them every day. We never jump off the furniture anymore. Mommy wants to build a ramp/bench seat for us for the Florida house so we can look out the back window but that ain’t gonna happen anytime soon. At least we have a large set of windows that go from the ceiling to the floor to look out of.
You two look so wonderful in your costumes!! We didn’t dress up (bcuz we hate clothing), but we did bark our heads off every time the doorbell rang. We had to look at all the kid’s through the baby gate. Mommy was afraid we’d run out the door.
