Mangoes & a Missing Doggie in D.C.

I can’t believe it’s only been about 2 months since the baby mangoes were falling off our tree. Well, they’re no longer babies!

Before I show you how big the mangoes got, I wanted to let you know that I finally got around to joining Pets Blog Roll, a site that hosts all kinds of pet blogs. Here’s my page.

I was browsing a few of the newer blogs that were added, and I came across this one: Bogey the Missing Mastiff. I want to share Bogey’s story with you.

Description: Bogey is a 90 lb Brown/Black (Brindle) Female Italian Mastiff. She’s 9 Mos Old, recently spayed; has a docked tail, 1/2 cropped ears, and is friendly and shy.

The story: Bogey went missing from a yard in the Wyngate Neighborhood (Melvern) on Thursday (3/31/11). Sadly, she has no collar, no tags, and no chip. There is a reward for her safe return! If you see her or have any info, please contact James @ 413-262-6713.

Here are some facts about Bogey:

  • Italian Mastiff/Cane Corso
  • Spayed female
  • A big girl – about 90 lbs
  • Coat is black & brown brindle
  • Ears 1/2 cropped (flop down)
  • Tail docked, eyelids droopy
  • Young — a puppy about 9-10 months
  • A little shy but friendly
  • No collar or microchip ðŸ™

Now about those mangoes…

Look how cute the baby mangoes were when they started falling off the tree!

I had to help mommy & daddy gather them up before he mowed the grass.

Here’s our tree today! Look at all the big mangoes!

Here are a few mangoes that fell off the tree. My family doesn’t like mangoes
(can you believe it?), so they share them with the neighbors.

Please don’t forget to pass the word about Bogey… it makes me sad to think of furries that are missing. And there are so many that are missing. Please visit Oliver Alert on Facebook, and Lost Pet USA for more missing pets.

Big thank you woofs & hugs,

~Bailey

My entire family including us doggies LOVE those sweet, juicy mangoes. I think those baby ones can be eaten. Would be nice if you made them into pickles. I like pickles too!

I hope Bogie gets found soon. She looks like a real sweetheart.

Your mango tree is pawsome! I bet those mangoes are very tasty!

Bogey is adorable and it makes us sad that he is missing. Paws crossed and lots of prayers that he is found and safely returned to his family. Thank you for being such a good and kind pup to spread the word. :->
