Have you ever had one of those days where you realized you made a mistake? Not a physical mistake, like forgetting to turn off your lights, or leaving your wallet at home. I’m talking about a mistake like forgetting how old your child is…well, your furry child. 😉
This past November we celebrated my 5 month birthday and Nala’s 13th birthday, but mom made a mistake! Nala wasn’t 13 last year — she was only 12! All these months I thought a 13-year-old doggie was chasing me around outside, when all along it was a 12-year-old dog! No wonder she’s still catching me! Mom was happy to know that Nala’s still only 12, but now I have to get her to fix her age here on the site. That may take some time, so if you see anywhere where it says she’s 13, ignore it! I’m glad to know that Nala’s still only 12. 🙂 (heh… you could ignore what I just said. Nala IS gonna be 14 toward the end of this year!)
In other doggie news, I think I’ve come a long way in terms of learning stuff. I can sit, lay down, shake hands and give high-fives, ring the bell to go out, come inside before the count of 2, and stay out of rooms I’m not supposed to be in. Unfortunately, I’m still having a little trouble with a few things, like not being nice to Nala all the time, eating everything I can find outside, not listening when I’m told to ‘stay,’ and sometimes not listening at all. So, I was told that I’m going to be taking doggie classes starting next month. I have no idea what to expect at these classes, and neither do my mom and dad — they’ve never had to sign up any of their dogs for school. I’m the first one! I could think of this as a good thing…like if your kid was the first to graduate college in your family. I’ll let you know how things go after school starts… but I really am innocent. 🙂
