Last week my daddy went away for work again… he was gone for 5 whole days!
I hate it when my daddy leaves for a work assignment. Nala does too. We get so sad!
Nala and I knew something was up when we saw
the suitcase. But we didn’t know if we were going too!
Nala and I went crazy when we found out that just daddy was leaving.
Daddy said goodbye to me…
Then he said goodbye to Nala both of us.
Then Nala said goodbye to daddy.
Nala and I tried to head him off at the door.
I thought for sure we’d be able to sneak out with him.
I did try and unlock the door, but I couldn’t.
Daddy closed the front gate and we were left on the inside.
We said goodbye to daddy one more time…
And we watched him leave.
I was so sad to see him go!
From inside the house, Nala and I watched as he drove away.
That first night, I slept on daddy’s side of the bed.
Nala slept at the foot of the bed with some of mommy’s stuffies.
When daddy came home, Nala and I spent lots of time
listening to stories of his week away from home.
We missed you when you went away, daddy. We’re so glad you’re home. ๐

I get how you feel buddy, I hate it when my Dad goes away too, I don’t even like it when he goes to work each day! I try to make him take me with him by putting my nose right at the door and looking really sad, but so far no luck! He just leaves me home with Mum – doh! Tee Hee

It’s always happy time when the huparents return! You two look so happy and exited in the bottom photo! Glad he is back and all is well again! Even though you two looked pretty comfy on Dad’s side of the bed and with Mom’s stuffies! Well, a K9’s gotta do what a K9’s gotta do! Enjoy your family time!

Those homecomings are the best though!!!
We hate the suitcases. Daddy always delays bringing out the bags until the last minute because we get so upset. We got so nervous when we saw Mom and Dad packing clothes in the car on Friday. Mom promised us they would be back before dark. We were so happy when they came home.
We are glad your Dad came home safely.
the best part of daddy’s going away is when they come back !!!! My dad use to travel every week and only be home on weekends. Now he stays home and Mom and me love having come home every night. I bet you did the happy dance when you saw him,

I don’t know bout’ all of this…..We think you should just shrink yourselves and hide in Daddy’s suitcase the next time you see him packing. Then he’ll be all surprised when he gets where he’s going and opens his suitcase……see, problem solved!
Mom is away travelling right now, so we understand completely!

Awww, that is so sweet – we don’t like it when our Dad goes away either. He slips us extra food from the table and Mom doesn’t like that. AND he gives us bigger treat portions too. And we miss all those pets he gives us too. But we don’t get to sleep in the bed – you two are so lucky.
