Hole in the Fence: Part 2

Last year, I shared a little something I found on the other side of one of our backyard fences.

Hole in the Fence: Part 2
Everytime we happen to go outside, I always, always,
hear barking on the other side of this fence.

Hole in the Fence: Part 2
It’s that little Pomeranian doggie that looks like a red panda.
She’s always barking away at me. I wonder why she doesn’t like me?

Hole in the Fence: Part 2
The hole that was in the fence last year, has been fixed…
So the only way to see the doggie is to get real close to the
fence and peek in between the wooden slats. That’s how mommy
took these pictures. I guess you could say we’re stalkers!

Hole in the Fence: Part 2
Then there’s the little white fluffy doggie, too.
He’s a Bichon Frise, and he still doesn’t do much talking.
He leaves all the guarding up to his sister.

Of all the girl and boy doggies that I know around my neighborhood, it’s always the girl doggies that are more talkative. How is it in your neighborhood?

I think she’s just saying Hello!!

  4. PS – I bet it isn’t that she *doesn’t* like you, but rather that she likes you very much and is frustrated you can’t see each other. After we started inviting our neighbors dog over to play, the barking between the fences vastly improved and now we have a new friend!!

  5. Koly and Fe are **very**talkative if someone is outside our fence. In fact, thy sound like a herd of banshees. It was never a problem at our old house with cedar fencing, but here, we have chain link. We’re working on it, but man. I wish they were a little less “sociable”. (PS – I like that little panda dog!)

  6. Ellen says:

Hehehe! You are so funny! We live on acreage so we don’t have fences to peek through. We see wild turkey, deer, squirrel, lots of birds and up the hill sometimes we see our neighbors lab Lexie.

  7. Higgins says:

So true, it’s always the girl that does all the yippy around our house! We have Maggie and she is a pom…geeze, can she ever yip!!

  8. Aside from Lightning who just has way too much enthusiasm, we are not barkers. BUT our neighbors on all three sides have bigtime barkers – they drive us nuts as well as our humans. We can never understand why their owners don’t bring them in when they bark nonstop for hours on end.

We don’t think the girls bark more than the boys, but the smaller ones are definitely yappier.

  9. Goose says:

hummm. My neighbors don’t have doggies. Our one neighbor does have a cat. So if there is barking, it’s me. But I always have a good reason.
    Blessings,
    Goose

Storm guards the neighborhood. She feels it is her duty to alert the everyone to strangers.

  11. Bassetmomma says:

The smaller dogs always seem louder than the bigger dogs! Girls do tend to be more noisy, too!

  12. Hi Y’all,

My Human says it is a “small dog” yappy syndrome usually…and although I weigh 100lbs I have it. My “over the rainbow” older Chessie sister almost never barked. I bark when I’m excited or at any strange noise.

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  13. Frankie Furter and Ernie says:

Well Bailey, since on my hill.. it is only Ernie and Me… I guess it is all GUY BARKIN.. ALL the time. hehehee

  14. Small dogs always seem to have the biggest barks…….Jackie is like that at our place. Maybe they just want you to come over and play ?

  15. bichonpawz says:

We think you are right Bailey! The girls do seem to be a bit more noisy! We can’t imagine why anyone would want to bark at you!
