It’s Petal, from Two Collies and a Mutt!
My mommy doesn’t have any rhyme or reason to which furries she draws (unless it has been commissioned). She is currently building up her portfolio… and since I have the best looking furry friends, she’s been browsing around the bloggie neighborhood. When a photograph catches her eye, she just knows… and that’s the drawing she chooses. Since I’ve been asked a couple of times… all of the drawings I post are 5″x7″ unless it says otherwise. Now for my review…
Look below for the Good Stuff vs. the Not-So-Good Stuff…
The treats I’m reviewing today are Newman’s Own® Organics Premium Dog Treats, in the 10 oz bag. Mommy never bought us this brand before, but when mommy saw that these treats were organic, she thought she would give them a try.
Newman’s Own® Organics Premium Dog Treats
Newman’s Own brand? I’ve never seen these before.
They’re organic, premium doggie treats.
They’re shaped like hearts! You can see all the veggies inside.
Nala and I were so excited to taste these!
We couldn’t wait! There are paw prints on the bag!
Awww, mommy gave me her heart.
And I chewed it up! But I didn’t spit it out. π
Nala grabbed a heart from mommy.
She almost chewed her fingers! Teehee!
We loved, loved, LOVED these treats! It DOES pay to be good!
Ingredients… (*Certified Organic)

Barley flour*, ground turkey*, blackstrap molasses, sweet potatoes*, carrots*, apples*, chicken fat (preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols and lecithin, a highly palatable source of essential fatty acids), rolled oats, and rosemary extract.
The Good Stuff:
- Mommy doesn’t have to go to a special store to buy these — they carry them in our local supermarket! Which means… mommy can pick up these yummy snacks when she does her regular food shop!
- They taste deliciousss!
- They’re certified organic by Oregon Tilth. It’s made with organic turkey and organic sweet potatoes, and contains no wheat or corn.
- They’re shaped like little hearts, that can be broken in half. They are also easy to break into small pieces.
- They don’t have a strong smell.
- They’re made in the USA.
- Newman’s Own is a name you can trust!
- Nala doesn’t have a problem chewing them, even with her 13-year-old teeth.
The Not-So-Good Stuff:
- Nope! Nothing to see here, friends. Move along! π
My conclusion?
Nala and I really enjoy eating the Newman’s Own® Organics Premium Dog Treats. This is the first time we’ve tried the Newman’s Own brand, and since we LOVE them, we’ll be keeping our eyes open for other Newman’s Own foods & treats. π

The humans in this house sure do love Newman’s Own human cookies and their spaghetti sauce, too. One of these days us dogs will have to try the dog treats, they look very yummy! Great review!
