Sealing the Grout & a Car Ride Part 1

Two days ago, the floor man sealed the grout. For those of you who don’t know the story of The Big Thing, you can read some entries here.

I thought Nala and I would be able to have run of the house again after the floor man left, but sadly, we still weren’t able to go on the floor. It turns out that the floor man used some toxic chemical to clean excess grout off the tiles, and mommy had to wait until yesterday afternoon to mop it up with a cleaning solution. How do we know it was toxic? Well, mommy couldn’t breathe! She said it smelled awful, so she opened ALL the windows to air out the smell. She kept Nala and me in Taylor’s bedroom so we didn’t have to smell it. She didn’t want us touching the floor, ’cause she didn’t want the chemicals on our paws (plus I like to lick the floor sometimes). πŸ˜‰

But the good part of all of this, is that I got to go in the car with mommy! She would have left me home in the bedroom with Nala, but you could imagine how crazy I would have gotten. Nala is OK staying alone in the bedroom, so that’s where she stayed when we went out. I got to go out 3 times yesterday!

These photos are from 2 days ago, when the floor man was here…

Taylor’s bed… ah, so comfy!

When I wasn’t laying down, I was keeping guard by the window.

Keeping guard is a tiring job!

Mommy gave Nala and me treats ’cause we were really good.
It’s not easy staying in the bedroom all day!

Mommy had to go pick up Taylor, and she couldn’t leave me in the bedroom with Nala, so she took me with her! I was so excited to go in the car… it’s been a while. πŸ™

I was nervous, happy, and excited… all at the same time!

And a little worried.
See my seat belt? I reviewed it last year. A little something happened
yesterday, that made mommy change her mind about this seat belt.
I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow.

Mommy always opens the window (unless it’s raining) after we stop.
There are so many smells out there. I think I smelled a kitty. πŸ˜‰

Have a fabulous Friday, friends! Stay tuned for Part II tomorrow. πŸ™‚

Well it was wise of your mom to keep you off the toxic floor, there is already enough toxins we need to protect you from, never mind the floor you walk on.

I’m anxious to hear about the seat belt incident. We’ve been discussing seat belts for the dogs, so I will be reading your previous post.

    Have a great day!
