Last night, daddy, Nala and Taylor went to sleep early. Mommy was up really late, but she was busy doing her own stuff…
But First…
Yesterday, my family went to a Pet Expo. Doggies were invited (and I heard there were MANY), but Nala and I didn’t go. I would have gotten too crazy, and poor Nala would have been terrified. So, we stayed home while everyone else enjoyed all the animals.
Mommy says the most exciting part of the Expo, was when she met Shorty Rossi and Hercules from the TV show, Pit Boss. She brought the drawing she did of Hercules, and gave it to Shorty as a gift. When Shorty saw the drawing, he said out loud, “Oh sh*t!” And then he smiled real big and said, “Thank you!” He stared at it for a minute, but had to put it away — well, he did have a long line of people waiting. Heh. My family all smiled — they loved his candid reaction! Then mommy got in a photo with Shorty and Hercules. π
Shorty signed his book for my mommy, then she handed him
the drawing she did of Hercules. She was so happy he loved it!
If you happen to read this, Shorty… Thank you sooo much for all you do for doggies!! My mommy and I really love you and everyone on your show, and she enjoyed meeting you and Hercules! π
About the Pet Expo…
There were a lot of doggies (and some kitties), pet rescues, and pet products. My mommy received a couple of products to review — look for them in the near future. By the way… my family was saddened by all the people they saw that publicly smacked/hit their dogs because they were not behaving. One lady had a rolled up newspaper, and a man just used his hand to smack his dog on the head. Daddy also saw a doggie with a spike collar, with the spikes pointing into the skin. You’d think everyone attending a Pet Expo loves dogs — NOT! Shame on all those people!

My mommy doesn’t have any rhyme or reason to which furries she draws (unless it has been commissioned). She is currently building up her portfolio… and since I have the best looking furry friends, she’s been browsing around the bloggie neighborhood. When a photograph catches her eye, she just knows… and that’s the drawing she chooses. Since I’ve been asked a couple of times… all of the drawings I post are 5″x7″ unless it says otherwise. I was a bit tired this morning, so I stayed asleep!
Later on while it was still dark, I got up and
noticed that everyone was still asleep! So I went
back to one of my favorite spots and took a nap.

Oh my goodness! That drawing of Leroy is beautiful, the detail is amazing right down to the slobber around his mouth and the spots on his tongue! I am just speechless of how beautiful it is. You are so talented and I am humbled that you took the time to draw Leroy so beautifully!
That is terrible that those people at the expo were smacking their dogs. If they do it in public what do they do at home?!!!!! Have a good nap. I think I will take one too.

Bailey Girrrrrl GUESS WHAT???? Ernie and I were at PET EXPO Yesterday TOO… butt OURs was in Columbus.
We didn’t have that Shorty guy at OURs. BUTT there WERE HUNDREDS of dogs there. Fortunately I did NOT see ANYONE being mean to their dogs. AND this year I did not see any spiked collars.. butt I DID LAST year.
I am so sorry that you and Nala didn’t get to go. It was sooooo fun.
My mom got a New Product to let us try and then evaluate too. THIS one is 100% OHIO made.. I can’t WAIT to try it.
We can’t say enough about how beautiful your Mom’s work is! We bet Shorty was just astounded by the one she did of Hercules.
